MONSON ROAD CLUB NEWSLETTER

 

Our Halloween party was a monster of a party. Many thanks to everyone who joined us especially those who made the effort to dress up. The winners for the fancy dress competition were : 0-5 yrs MIA THOMAS-MITCHELL & RICHARD CORMICK 6-10 yrs SHANI CORMICK & LISA ARNOLD 11-16 Yrs LEIGH SUTTON & SOPHIE COOPER, ADULT SECTION DIANNE KIMBER & MARK COOPER . Our Judges Paul & Marianne had a very difficult time deciding the winners so well done to everyone. Big thanks also to our chef’s for the BBQ.

FROM FRIDAY 14TH OCTOBER WE WILL BE RUNNING A COMPETITION OF GUESS THE MONEY IN THE BOTTLE 5OP A GO. GOOD LUCK

 

FRIDAY 24TH NOVEMBER

HOUSE CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTATIONS

This is an evening to thank everyone who took part in this year’s House Championships.

Winners or not, you all made it a great success. Our naked chef’s will also be working their magic on the BBQ.

SATURDAY 9th DECEMBER:

Live music comes to the Monson Club. We present a fantastic Band called El’Strats. These 2 lively local lads will be entertaining you with a wide range of music for your enjoyment. Put your dancing shoes on and join us for a night of live entertainment.

SUNDAY 17TH DECEMBER

KIDS CHRISTMAS PARTY 3-6PM

There is a invitation list displayed on our notice board for parents to register their interest. Children should be no older than 11 years. We would be grateful if parents can supply a present up to the value of £3-50 with your child’s name clearly written on it. The list will be closed on 8th December.

SATURDAY 23RD DECEMBER

Come on join our DJ Robbie Robster and enjoy the festive celebrations. He will be churning out all those tunes that you love and tap your feet to.

SUNDAY 31ST DECEMBER

See out the old and see in the new with a good old knees up with family and friends.

 

Our Xmas opening hours are now displayed within the Club and on our website. Also on our website www.monsonclub.com you can sign up so that you receive these newsletters via e-mail as soon as they are published. A great way to ensure that you always receive the latest news. Visit our website for the photograph gallery containing over 536 images, adverts, latest news and much much more .

 Please remember that Memberships must be renewed by 31st January 2007. Renewal forms are available from behind the bar.

Members can hire the Club for parties for a very reasonable rate. With a quality sound system and modern disco lighting we are able to provide the ideal venue for that party whatever the occasion.. Details and application forms are available from behind the bar.

There are currently vacancies on the Management Committee. If you are interested in helping to run this Club please speak to a Committee Member.

SATURDAY 28TH OCTOBER

HALLOWEEN PARTY AND BBQ JOIN US FOR A WICKED NIGHT OF BLOOD CURDLING FUN.

JUDGING OF THE COSTUMES WILL BE AROUND 8.30PM CHILDREN AND ADULTS INCLUDED. ALSO OUR NAKED CHEFS ARE BACK LARRY, BILL AND GWYNNE THEY ARE GOING TO COOK UP A GASTRONOMIC FEAST, THAT’S BURGERS TO YOU AND ME.

SO PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE WITCHING HOUR AND WE WILL HAVE A MONSTER OF A TIME.

AGES OF THE CHILDREN ARE 0-11 YEARS OLD, OUR LIST WILL GO UP ON THE 9th NOVEMBER WHICH WILL BE LOCATED IN THE ENTRANCE HALL, WE WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF PARENTS COULD SUPPLY A PRESET UP TO THE VALUE OF £3.50 WRAPPED WITH YOUR CHILDS NAME ON IT. THE PARTY LIST WILL COME DOWN ON THE 8TH DECEMBER AS WE NEED TO KNOW NUMBERS TO CATER FOR.

CHRISTMAS PARTY/GAMES NIGHT,

November 2005 newsletter :

 

Hi Members,

Just a note to keep you up to date with the news ,

Halloween was on the 29 October it was a great success thank you for all your support the kids costumes were great, our judges had a very difficult job to decide. Joint winners of our 0 -3 years category were Mia and Sahin they were so cute, winner and runner up of our 4-9 years category were Breeze and Tate respectively and winner and runner up of our 10 - 90 years were Lauren and Amy respectively. Well done to you all. Many thanks to our judges Vi, Gwynne & Ken, many thanks to our naked chefs Bill, Gwynne, Larry & Stan

CHRISTMAS KIDS PARTY

This is to be held on Sunday 18 December 2005 3pm-6pm a list is located in the hallway, we would be grateful if parents could supply a present up to the value of £3.50 wrapped with your Child’s name on it. The party list will come down on Sunday 11 December 2005.

NEW YEARS EVE RAFFLE

Our raffle will be drawn on this evening we have lots of prizes and we are hoping to add to this, you can purchase tickets from any committee member or bar staff.

NEW YEARS EVE CELEBRATIONS

Entry is free to Members & Children. Non members there will be a charge of £4 each. -

RE-NEWING MEMBERSHIP

Do not forget to re-new your Membership by the 31 January 2006 forms can be collected from behind the bar.

CLUB HIRE

If any Member would like to book the Club for a party you have to have been a member for at least 6 months, the charge is £50 hire, £50 deposit returnable after the event.

KIDS XMAS PARTY BOTTLE

From Friday 11-11-05 guess the final total of the kid’s Xmas party bottle, 50p per guess. Bottle to be counted on the 9-12-05.

October 2005 Newsletter :
 

Hi Members,

Just a note to let you know what the committee have planned over the next couple of months, we would love you to join us to make it a big success.

First on the agenda is Halloween on the 29 October 2005 We are organising a fancy dress for children and adults judging of the children will be at around 8.30pm as the kids tend to get tired, adults later, around the witching hour, so adults don't be shy. We would be grateful if we could have 3 judges not connected with the families please see any of the committee to put your names forward. There will also be a BBQ where our naked chefs will be cooking up a stir.

On the 1 November the Xmas raffle will begin all donations welcome as proceeds go to the Kids Xmas party, tickets are 25p each on the card, cheap as chips, ask any of the bar staff or committee.

The Kids Xmas party will be held on the 18 December 2005 times to be announced, the list will be located in the hallway from 1 November 2005, Children from 0-11 years old welcome, we would be grateful if parents could supply a gift for their child up to the value of £3.50 wrapped with your Childs Name on it.

New Years Eve we will be having a disco, charge on entry is £4 per non member children free, members will be free entry, our Xmas raffle will be drawn on New Years Eve,
